I finished this on August 9th, 2009 at my studio in the Bakehouse. I just moved into a different space, now I am in studio 15 which is downstairs and has storage space that my old place lacked. My good friend Alex Yanes moved into the space right next door, number 16. It's good being next to Alex, I don't get to see him as much as I would like. We have a couple projects in the mix right now. Some are still top secret but I can mention that we have a show together on September 17th. The show will feature myself, Alex Yanes, Daniel Fila, Gerry Stecca, Steven Bursynski, David Martinez, Deborah Mitchell, Hugo Patao and Mike Rivamonte at the Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. Should be really fun. Lauren Wagner from the Bakehouse is curating. All of the artists are really good and the space is pretty great. More details later. I have another show this coming Tuesday at the Epic Hotel downtown with Carla Fache, Carson Case and R.E. Sanchez. The reception is that night but the Art should be on view for a month or so. For the record, this piece took much longer than I expected. The gold color is very translucent and required many coats. I expected to be done last week but it just wasn't happening. Even 8 solid hours on Saturday wasn't enough. Try to get out to see it in person though, the camera is incapable of doing that color justice. Please look at this painting together with 362 and 363 as the all share the 6 of the common set of 9 interior colors.
