Size: 24x36 (inches)
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
I finished this on July 25th, 2009 in my studio at the Bakehouse. It was my birthday and I had guests in town, ChrisAnn and Mark. ChrisAnn is a friend from way back at Hampshire. We lived in a magical place called Soldier Mod (but that is another story). I had schemes on grilling out by the pool but south Florida's weather pattern had it's own schemes on the afternoon. But I did make some ribs with mango bbq sauce that I made up. Spicy, sweet and sour. I think it turned out good. Cooked up some fish that Captain Joe brought back from Alaska. Glorious fish. A little of my mothers German potato salad (as in with bacon). Some of my aunt's avocado and bacon dip. Later some cake. Insane cake. Total cake insanity. Plus good friends near and far, a call from my sister (who still hasn't named her dog), call from my parents. Later caught Artofficial at the Electric Pickle. A ride across the causeway in the bed of a pickup truck (Thanks Joe!). Finished by gorging on a porky burger from Los Perros at about 4am (again, thanks Joe!). Basically, I don't need to eat for at least a week. Thanks to everyone that came out from near and far. I had a blast.
